The Motivation Theory for Success

Looking for guaranteed success in life? You must trust the motivational theory. Learn this theory, trust it and apply it. You will definitely see a difference. There will be a positive energy development in you that would ultimately drive you to your destination. You will be more optimistic and happy to undertake your task. An enhancement of self esteem and confidence in you is also a result of following the motivational theory.

If you are serious about following the motivation theory in your life for achieving success, here are some important steps you must follow:

• Step 1: The driving force: vision

• Step 2: Define your goal: success

• Step 3: Action Steps: The plan.

Let us discuss the above mentioned steps in detail:

Step One:

- The driving force - Vision

Have you charged yourself up with self motivation? What is the force of motivation inside you? What makes you carry a task or play with full enthusiasm? What is the exact element that helps you to concentrate on a certain thing? Don’t get confused. If you want to know about your driving force, you need to sit quite, for a while, think deeply and answer some important questions. This will make you clear about certain forces that make you work towards your dream. Now, answer some of the questions given below:

• Are you really anxious about the idea of spending one whole day or full week at work in order to make efforts towards organizing a business meeting?

• Close your eyes and think about a great vacation you have recently had. How do you feel about it at present? Can you clearly recall vivid images of the water and sand in your mind?

Now as you picturize all the pictures related to your vacation vividly, you are practicing the skill of visualization related to motivation theory.

Step Two

- Defining your goal of success

This step can be referred to as the detailed version of the step one. Here, you tend to experience with other senses and motivate yourself to define the goal. Here, the goal is the ‘vacation’. You should use all your senses in order to progress towards the success goal. Keep on defining your success goal. Visualize your organization as the top manufacturer or producer of ABC products. Now, this will make you experience the excitement of being the top producer of ABC products. Now, as your senses start feeling the success make note of what you actually observe. Answer the following questions:

• What tasks are you involved in?

• What position have you acquired in your company?

• Do you own an office at the best location in the city?

• Do you see yourself sitting with the other board of directors of the company?

The whole process of answering the questions, visualizing as well as experiencing the achievement of goals will actually define your overall vision of success. Make a note of all that you fee, see, the location you are at, the attire you are wearing and other people’s reaction towards you. The more detailed is your version, the better you would be able to define your goal. For instance, if you want to be famous, you cannot reach your goal until you define being ‘famous’.

Step Three

- The plan of action and your steps towards it

Once you have your vision of what success is to you, you can start working towards your goal.

Successful People

This week I wanted to use the blog to talk about successful people and the things I think are stopping successful people being as successful as they could be.

Now one of the most successful businessmen of our generation is Bill Gates. Unlike a celebrity who’s film you may have seen or song you may have heard you are practically guaranteed to have used a bit of software which was made or designed by Bill Gates company Microsoft by the time you are 18. With this success though I bet you don’t talk about him as much as your favourite singer or actor even though he is richer and more successful than that singer or actor.

Now I can’t claim to be an expert on Bill Gates and how he made his money but the one thing I always see in the news is him or his company being stopped from doing something because of some legislation which says he can’t have a monopoly or become too big or strong in the market.

Now I know competition laws and other assorted business laws are put in place to benefit us the consumers and other business owners but I have always found these very restrictive. If one person can build themselves up from nothing and want to conquer an entire business sector I think they should be allowed to. It is not the successful persons fault that they make themselves bigger or more successful that other people in the market. It should be up to other people and other companies to compete and want to get better not having some legislation bringing the successful person down.

People need to be motivated and inspired to succeed not put off by legislation, red tape and bureaucracy. It’s like all the hoops people have to jump through these days to get funding or placements to further their careers. The world is getting tied down in paperwork and political correctness most of which could be ripped away by using common sense and logical ideas.

Going back to finish with Bill Gates, laws and legislations aside it seems that instead of supporting successful people these days successful people are targets for others to bring down or to try and stop from getting further ahead. From the common person to legislation makers we need to all support successful people and support people to give them the chance of being successful.

How to Find True Happiness For Life

Each person has the power to find true happiness. It's a way of how you see situations that happen in life.

For example, you're caught in traffic for hours. As soon as you get the chance to break free, another driver cuts in. A group of life coaches and psychologists explain that if you're happy, you won't get out of the car and scold the other driver, kick his car, and fret that your day is all messed up.

Instead, positive behaviors pump in so you breathe in and out for ten times; you try to understand that the other driver is in a real emergency; you sit back and let the other car cut through; and you just be grateful that you still have a room for stress relief and look forward to more inspiring things to happen in that day.

Ask most people how to find true happiness and what would make them happy, and they would tell you that a promotion, a new car, wining the lottery, or just getting married would give them true happiness.

They are blinded by their belief that real happiness is something that the world provides. In reality, true happiness depends on your outlook in life. It comes from within.

Every person asks how to find true happiness; but you must understand that happiness, like most things, does not happen overnight. The key is to be content with what you have and work out a plan to achieve the things you want. For this to happen, you must have a set of goals. The same goals will help you create out a vision and a meaning to live each day.

Instead of worrying too much, look at the better possibilities of each situation. Have confidence in your ability to handle life's issues.

Never focus on how to be happy just by dreaming about it; for affirmations work better if your actions lead you to your goals. By then you will enjoy what you're doing and understand how to find true happiness.

Communication Tools

It seems that we are continuously inundated with technological devices designed to help us with communication. Telephones, fax machines, email, newspapers, pagers, wireless connections, radio, hearing aids, cell phones, voice messaging, amplifiers, satellite, text messaging, television, and hundreds more, all promise to communicate our messages more quickly and easily.

Yet, with all of this technology, our personal communication skills seem a little lacking. In fact, because we tend to be so focused on the technology of communication, and the words that we use, we sometimes forget to develop the powerful personal communication tools that we were born with: our eyes, ears, voice inflection, body language, and gestures. Experts tell us that only 15% of communication is the words that we use. 85% of the meaning, therefore, comes from our tone, manner, posture, eye movement, gestures and inflection. Here are some tips:

Use your eyes. I personally believe that the eyes are the most important communication tool we have. It has been said that the eye is the window to the soul. And this is nowhere more apparent then in personal communication. Try this: give someone instructions while they are staring at a computer screen. See how much they get. Then, have them look you in the eye and repeat the instructions. You will be amazed at the difference. The words are the same, but the eye contact makes the communication flow. When you listen, listen with your eyes, not just your ears. When you speak, let your eyes reflect your message and notice how much more effective you become.

Use your ears. Listen. That is one of the great keys to communication. Many people focus so much on what they are going to say, they forget to actually participate in the conversation. You have two ears and only one mouth. This is a subliminal message to you to listen twice a much as you talk. Listen with your ears, listen with your eyes, listen with your whole body. This tells others that you care about what they are saying--that you want to communicate, not just talk them.

Use your body. Our posture and gestures communicate volumes about our attitude toward what is being communicated. If you sit up, lean forward, and gesture with your hands, it's pretty easy to tell that you are involved and excited about that is being communicated. On the other hand, if you slouch, fidget, put your hands in your pockets, or look around during the communication, the message is obvious.

Use your voice. We all know that the tone of our voice can cast entirely different meanings on words. The simple word hello can mean "welcome," "what do you want," "nice to meet you," or "don't bother me"--depending on the tone of voice that you use. Learn to smile with your voice. You do this by smiling with your mouth. Animate your language by placing emphasis and enthusiasm on important words. Whether in person or on the phone, you can use your voice to make your communication more effective.
